Cappella Chigi
The newest part of this chapel is 370 years old! Raphael designed it in 1513, but died in 1520 before finishing. It sat empty for 140 years until Bernini completed it in 1652. Inside is an octagonal dome inspired by Rome's Pantheon, surrounded by seven planets in mosaic. Rare marble and Raphael's frescoes of Creation still glow from above. This Piazza del Popolo treasure waited over a century to be finished—that's like waiting your whole school life times five just to see one room built!
